Privacy Policy — Chat for Suno Live Radio

Last updated: August 2026

Chat for Suno Live Radio is a browser extension that adds a chat panel to Suno's Live Radio pages (suno.com/labs/live-radio and suno.com/radio). This policy explains exactly what data the extension touches and where it goes.

What the extension does with chat data

The extension reads chat messages and vote/reaction events from Suno's own live chat feed (delivered via Suno's existing WebSocket connection) and displays them in its panel. When you send a message, it is transmitted directly from your browser to Suno's chat backend (Ably), using your own active Suno session — the same request Suno's own chat interface would make. The developer does not operate any server that receives, logs, or has access to this traffic. No message content, username, or session token is ever sent to the developer.

What is stored, and where

To restore the chat panel's state after a page reload, the extension stores the following locally, in your browser's own localStorage, on your device only:

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to the developer, not synced to any server, and not accessible to anyone other than you in your own browser profile. Uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's site data removes it.

What the extension does not do

Public chat data

Suno's Live Radio chat is a public room: any username and message visible in it is already broadcast to everyone in that room by Suno's own platform, independent of this extension. This extension does not expose any information beyond what a user already made visible by participating in the chat they joined.
